Charis Retreats This Weekend

February 24, 2012

This weekend there are five Charis Retreats happening across the country.  That means there will be a couple hundred men and women in their 20s and 30s on retreat this weekend, and that means five teams of young adults are about to offer retreats for their peers.

I ask that you keep these retreats in your prayers this weekend:

  1. UGA Catholic Center :  For The Least Retreat
  2. Chicago :  For The Least Retreat
  3. Camp Pendleton:  Seekers Retreat
  4. Sisters of St. Joseph in Wichita:  Seekers Retreat
  5. Archdiocese of Cincinnati:  Teachers Retreat
UGA Catholic Center Charis Retreat Spring 2011

If you ever needed reason to have hope in the young church and in my generations, consider that between January-July members of the Charis Partner Program will be offering over 25 retreats for young adults across the country.  That’s a lot of young adults seeking a way to deepen their relationship with God, and THAT gives me a lot of reason to be hopeful!

Becky is an Ignatian-trained spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and writer. She is the author of the Busy Lives and Restless Souls (March 2017, Loyola Press) and The Inner Chapel (April 2020, Loyola Press). She helps others create space to connect faith and everyday life through facilitating retreats and days of reflection, through writing, and through spiritual direction. With nearly twenty years of ministry experience within the Catholic Church, Becky seeks to help others discover God at work in the every day moments of people’s lives by utilizing St. Ignatius’ Spiritual Exercises and the many gifts that our Catholic faith and Ignatian Spirituality provide.
