Advent Evening of Reflection for Women
Hosted by women from multiple parishes in the Diocese of Baton Rouge
Life is busy and full. It’s hard to slow down the hamster wheel of life. Our Advent evening of reflection offers women an opportunity to simply pause in the midst of Christmas preparations to be nourished through prayer, fellowship, and reflection.
Advent Evening of Reflection:
Making Room for God’s Greatest Gift
Mary accepted and made room for Jesus in her life. We too, can experience Jesus’ presence in our daily lives. Pause in the midst of Christmas preparations to join women from across Baton Rouge for a night of prayer, fellowship and reflection.

Location: St. Aloysius Catholic Church (Baton Rouge, LA)

A Growing Mission:
“Often it is better simply to slow down to put aside our eagerness in order to see and listen to others, to stop rushing from one thing to another and to remain with someone.”
Embracing the call by Pope Francis to live as missionary disciples, women from the Diocese of Baton Rouge with the blessing of the Diocesan Office of Evangelization and Catechesis, gathered to pray and to discern how we can accompany each other on our journeys of faith. This gathering is a response to the call to accompany each other towards Jesus Christ.
Continuing to discern the movement of the Holy Spirit in our diocesan community we invite all women to join us as we encounter Christ and discern our response to the hungers of women in our local community.
