God Bless the World

October 28, 2011

When I look backward over my life, I am continually in awe at the people, the events, and the experiences that have helped me become who I am today.  It overwhelms me with gratitude at how much God has done in my life.  The gift of awareness is one that I will forever be thankful for.  Holding all of the ways God has impacted our lives and how we, too, impact others…I offer this prayer by John J. Morris, SJ…
Mighty God, Father of all,
Compassionate God, Mother of all,
Bless every person I have met,
Every face I have seen,
Every voice I have heard,
Especially those most dear;
Bless every city, town, and
Street that I have known,
Bless every sight I have seen,
Every sound I have heard,
Every object I have touched.
In some mysterious way these
Have all fashioned my life;
All that I am,
I have received.
Great God, bless the world.
