God’s energy rising

April 29, 2010

Our journey of faith had a starting point unique to each of us.  Some of us will be able to instantly name what that starting point was.  Some of us will struggle to articulate when our faith journey began.   No matter which group we fall in, our faith journeys’ share one thing in common:  God has been at work in our lives all along.

I encourage you to stop and reflect back over your faith journey so far in your life.  As you do this, take notice of where God’s energy or presence was there moving you along.  Think of the people who have served as guideposts gently nudging you in a direction towards God.  Think of the events that helped move you forward in a way, that at the time, you could not put a name to. It was only later that you could name it, God.

God’s presence in us and in our lives slowly rises like energy from the sun emerging and unfolding over time as we become more and more aware of God at work in our lives.

What do we do with the awareness we have of God’s continual work in our lives (both past and present)?
What do we do with God’s energy and love rising within us?
