We often wonder how to hear God. I am reminded by John Neafsey’s quote:
“God’s word is heard in the heart, by the heart; God speaks to the heart, through the heart”
We hear God by taking the time to listen to what is arising within us. Our hopes, our fears, our dreams, our desires, our worries. We hear by listening to our heart. As we take the time to listen in prayer, we begin to notice patterns of what emerges within us. God speaks to us through these recurring themes of our heart.
What recurring themes are arising within me lately?
What is God trying to make me aware of?
