Holy Grounds Part II: The Examen

March 19, 2012

Another short clip from my talk at Holy Grounds, this part on my favorite prayer: The Examen. I learned to pray the Examen 8 months after Hurricane Katrina, and it helped me name God at work despite the suffering I witnessed.

Great overview of examen. LIke you, I have found this prayer to be significant in nourishing my spiritual walk. I thought I would have difficulty finding something each day to be grateful for and would easily find something I was NOT grateful for. God surprised with the opposite. Often I am asleep before I get to the second question and am overwhelm at all the blessing God sent that day. Thanks for a great blog too. I enjoy your writings
