Hope is…All we’ve got

January 2, 2012

From one of my life-long friends (since we were 8), Stacy:

“Hope is all I’ve got.
I wake up each hoping to be productive and helpful at my job.  I hope to be able to figure out challenging situations that arise in my interactions with people.  I have hope that eating vegetables will make me healthy.  I hope to have patience with those I usually don’t.  I hope an elf will sneak into my kitchen and make me coffee before I get up.  I hope that I’ll understand this world doesn’t revolve around me.  I hope to be able to fulfill whatever God has in store for me that day, even if it means doing laundry!
This is it. This is life.  It is going to be good and it’s going to be bad.  My faith provides me with a hope that during any tough situation it will someday be better because I know God is taking care of this. I choose and practice this mentality, I make Hope a priority in my life because at the end of the day, it’s one of the few things that I have.”
