Yesterday’s Gospel reminded us of “The Voice of one crying out in the desert” (Mk 1:1-8).
John prepared the way for Jesus. He helped open people’s minds and hearts to hear Jesus’ message and to accept who Jesus was.
We all have “John’s” in our life, who have helped prepare the way for us and who have opened our minds and hearts. Yesterday during mass, I was thinking of all of the people who have helped prepare my way. I am reminded of how often I have been invited to participate and to be exposed to something new by others. These small, simple invitations often offer me a new way of thinking and living. They invite me to a deeper relationship with God.
Who are the “John’s” in your life?
Are you possibly being a “John” for someone? If so, who?
